Collector Mode
Coming soon. Collector Mode is not yet live. This page describes the planned mechanics.
Collector Mode is the high-stakes layer of guessmyNFT. When you play in Collector Mode, your NFT is on the line.
How It Works
- Both players enter the game with one NFT from the collection
- The game plays out normally — questions, ZK proofs, guesses
- The loser transfers their NFT to the winner
- The winner pays a 10% claim fee
The Fee
The 10% claim fee is split automatically:
| Destination | Share | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Collection buybacks | 90% | Buy NFTs from the collection — returned to community |
| Protocol treasury | 10% | Fund protocol development |
This creates a flywheel: every Collector Mode game strengthens the collection floor.
The Rarity Paradox
In Collector Mode, rare NFTs are liabilities. Common NFTs are weapons.
Rare traits are easy to identify — making rare NFTs highly guessable (high GI Score). Common traits are hard to distinguish — making common NFTs the optimal Collector Mode asset.
The game inverts traditional NFT value hierarchies. Floor NFTs become competitive weapons. Trophy assets become risks.
Guessability Index (GI Score)
The GI Score measures how easily an NFT can be guessed in-game:
| GI Score | Rarity | Collector Mode Strategy |
|---|---|---|
| 85-100 | Ultra-rare (top 5%) | High risk — avoid wagering |
| 60-84 | Rare (top 20%) | Use with caution |
| 35-59 | Uncommon | Moderate risk |
| 10-34 | Common (bottom 50%) | Optimal — hard to guess |
